On 14th July, 2004, during the 13th ICC, a          meeting was held for the foundation of APACS,    the president and vice-president of the 13th ICC, Michel Che and Alexis Bell were invited to the meeting, and the representatives from Asia-Pacific countries and regions were presented on this meeting.

      2000, Grenada. IACS12 — Suggested to found an Asia-Pacific Association of Catalysis Societies.

      2002, Tokyo. TOCAT4 — Further promoted this idea.

     2003, Dalian. APCAT3 — Agreement was achieved.
